Team Baldwin at Furness
Thursday 6th February 2014

The newest recruit to Furness Mark Lodge No 36 is Craig Boothroyd, a craft member of Baldwin Lodge No 1398 based in Dalton in Furness.
John Browne, Craig Boothroyd and Ian Cottam.
WM Ian Cottam kindly allowed a trio of members from Craig’s craft lodge to share the work when he was advanced. The result was an excellent ceremony in which three distinct styles were on display.

First in to bat was John Myers who undertook his work with a calm and understated, yet very sincere, manner.
That part which included the signs was delivered by David Sear in his own inimitable style – think of Brian Blessed without the subtle touches and you’ll get the picture!
David Sear, John  Myers, Craig Boothroyd and Brian Davey.
Last, but by no means least, was Brian Davey, who seemed to savour every word that he delivered with all the style and panache that is to be expected from this noted ritualist.

Craig was presented with his badge and jewel by his proposer and lodge Senior Warden John Browne. This was a hat trick for John as he had previously proposed Craig into both the craft and chapter.

Being the proprietor of a local taxi company, a window cleaning business and with an interest in a town centre sandwich shop Craig is obviously a very busy man but he still finds time to be an active Mason which bodes well for his future in Furness Mark Lodge.

The first task Craig had was to take part in the ballot which saw John Browne named as Master Elect.
